First Festive Workshop of 2024!

Sketching Success and Bauble Brilliance: A Creative Day with Project Recruit For Our First Festive Workshop!

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting an art workshop for a dynamic group of recruiters from a rapidly growing firm. As a team that only gets to meet in person once a month, they were looking for an experience that would inspire creativity, encourage collaboration, and, of course, be lots of fun. It's safe to say the class was a roaring success and let me show you why...

Morning: Exploring the Art of Drawing

The morning kicked off with a drawing techniques session. With pencils in hand, participants explored a quick portrait challenge, shading, and composition. It was wonderful to see the initial hesitations melt away as everyone began to find their artistic groove. We started with some easy warm-up exercises to wake up the brain and we began with the classic portrait challenge - Please see below and don't laugh, they only had a minute!!

Next, we looked at some non-dominant hand artworks to get the team thinking outside the box and a few were pleasantly surprised. You have no idea what your non-dominant hand is going to be able to achieve so it's always a lovely way to wake our guests up. By the end of the first half we had our guests following a step-by-step guide to produce some amazing still lifes!

In the second part of the session, the festive spirit took over as we transitioned to a bauble decorating class. The room was buzzing with laughter and lively conversation as participants designed their ornaments. Some went for minimalist elegance, while others embraced vibrant colours and playful patterns. The creativity on display was truly inspiring—no two baubles were alike!

The team left the workshop not only with unique decorations but also with a renewed sense of connection. It was clear that the day had been more than just a chance to create; it was an opportunity to bond and celebrate their achievements as a team, especially with such limited contact time being scattered over the country.

Thank you, Project Recruit!, for bringing your energy and enthusiasm to our workshop. We hope your baubles add a touch of joy to your holiday season and that the drawing inspires your creative sides long after the session.
